Time to get online with Tenancy Services

Tenancy Services is moving more and more of their services online, and encouraging people to use them.  Using online services is often simpler and can get things moving faster because the right information gets through securely first time. Find out about two of their latest online ventures below.

  • Tenancy Bond Lodgements – online from 1 November

From 1 November, you can now lodge a completed, signed Bond Lodgement form and pay the bonds funds for individual tenancies online with Tenancy Services.

The system allows you to enter basic details about the tenancy and attach a copy of the Bond lodgement form before being directed to the online payment system. The bond can be paid using a Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card, or through internet banking (via the Account2account system with ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank, TSB or Westpac)*.

*N.B. Internet banking using the Account2account option cannot be used if more than one person is required to login and authorise payments.

You’ll get instant confirmation that the funds have been received by the Bond Centre, and all parties listed on the online form are notified that the funds have been submitted. Bonds are then lodged in the normal manner, and once the lodgement process is completed an acknowledgement, including the bond number, is sent to all parties to the bond.

  • Tenancy Tribunal Applications – only online or latest version of application form accepted from 1 December

To help ensure you’re using the most up-to-date Tenancy Tribunal Application process, Tenancy Services will accept only applications received online or using the latest version of the application paper form* from 1 December 2015.

To apply online, simply go to www.tenancy.govt.nz click on the “Tenancy Tribunal applications online” button in the QuickLinks section at the bottom of the homepage to start the process. It’s the quickest, easiest way to make an application, plus you can be sure the information you give us is complete and correct first time.

More information about these changes and how to make a Tenancy Tribunal Application is available at www.tenancy.govt.nz.

*If you can’t apply online for any reason, please be sure to use the latest version of the Tenancy Tribunal Application form. To check you have the right version, at the bottom of the form look for “Landlord Application Form-Form ref: T5L(08/14)”

If you have any questions or need help, please get in touch with Tenancy Services (www.tenancy.govt.nz).

Keep an eye out for more information soon from Tenancy Services about updates to their online services.
