Sharon has always had an interest in property investing and has only become fully immersed in the industry since 2016. Before this she has had a diverse career and worked in the clothing industry as a Production/Operations Manager for 15 years, and a Marketing Manager in the Dairy Industry for 5 years.
She has been a member of Auckland Property Investors during 2002 – 2005 when she helped set up the New Investors Group and was the coordinator of the first Eastern Group. In 2005 – 2009 living in Taupo and with a young family, she travelled to Rotorua for meetings as time permitted. Sharon joined the Waikato Property Investors Association in 2010 on her return from overseas, joining the committee in 2013 and elected Vice President in 2016 until her departure to the Hawkes Bay. Sharon joined the New Zealand Property Investors Federation Executive Committee in 2016. She is currently President of the Hawkes Bay Property Investors Association and after 1 ½ years as President of the New Zealand Property Investors Federation she has taken over the Position of Executive Officer for the NZPIF in February 2020. Sharon has been a property investor since 1998 and has property throughout the North Island.
Although investing since 1998 Sharon only moved into her own property in 2005, and before this has always been a tenant so she understands what it’s like to be tenant and a landlord.
