Report to the NZPIF Communications Meeting 2008

Looking back over our reports from 2006, 2007 and now 2008, we continue to see good growth in the membership of OPIA.  In 2006, we had 540 members, 2007 we had grown to 600 members and now in 2008 we hold a current membership of 757, up 157 members from this time last year.

At our recent AGM, held in May, Cliff Seque was elected for the third term as President, with myself Sonia Thom, as Vice President, also for a third term.  We have ahd a few new people join the executive, bringing in fresh ideas and enthusiasm.

Our goals for 2007 and 2008 have been to find new ways to provide value and interest to our members and we recently sat down and analysed just what had been on offer to our members over the past 12 months.  We decided that our members received pretty good value for money and perhaps this is shown through the number of new members joining our association.
